IN ROOM
All our rooms are fully equipped with air-conditioning and most rooms feature ceiling fans, so that you may control the temperature according to your preference. Please use the remote control unit to adjust temperature and fan speed of the AC. The preferred temperature of many of our guests at night is 23°-24° C which reduces humidity and keeps the room cool at just the right comfort level.
If you would like to help conserve energy please and help us to support our sustainability efforts, feel free to turn your AC off when you leave for the day.
In your bathroom:
ZIN Signature shower gel and shampoo, hand soap – biodegradable, organic with a scent specifically designed for ZIN in Bali: an uplifting combination of bergamot and mint.
There is also hygiene products available such as cotton buds, toothbrush and toothpaste. Other products such as sewing kits is available on request free of charge.
In your room:
Towels, kimono, slippers, and hair dryer.
If you are need of a razor, our stayZIN Officer team will be happy to provide it free of charge.
Note: Like kimono and hair dryer are hotel property. If you fell in love with these items, you can purchase them directly at the reception; in case of loss we will have to charge these items to your room bill upon check out.
The voltage in Bali is 220 – 240V. The socket has two holes as per European and Indonesian standard. If you need an adaptor please contact stayZIN Officer.
Our minibar is intentionally empty to allow you to stock it with your preferred items. You can purchase beverages and snacks from our stayZIN Officer.
The beautiful tropical nature of Bali can at times come with some unwelcome guests. Mosquitos, especially at sunset and evening times, may become a nuisance. Please make sure to close your doors and windows before sunset.
For added comfort 90% of our rooms are equipped with high-quality cotton mosquito net, to ensure you are having a relaxed and undisturbed sleep.
Each room is equipped with an internet accessible smart TV. Open any application or site you like and surf the web. If you would like to open your netflix account you can log in with your personal account. Just please make sure you log out before you check out of your room.
For the safety of your valuables, each room is equipped with a safe located within the wardrobe area. Your stayZIN Officer will explain how to operate the safe before using it. Please make sure before you check out to take all your belongings.
If you do happen to forget your code please contact our stayZIN Officer and two members of our team will come to your room and open the safe for you.

If you encounter problems or forgot your code, please contact stayZIN Officer. A staff members and a witness (safety protocol) will come to your room and open the safe for you while you are present.

The world famous Berawa beach is just 1 Km away from our Villa (10 minutes by walking). This particular part of the beach is known for wind & kitesurfing, swimming, sunbathing, hanging out and catching a spectacular Bali sunset.
IMPORTANT – Safety:
Bali is world famous for its surfing, and the waves and currents at this shore can be dangerous and unpredictable depending on the weather conditions. Currents and riptides can at times be hazardous, so please do exercise caution. Observe what other beach goers are doing and pay attention to the sea conditions before you go in. Kids should always be supervised. Please do take note : there is no lifeguard at Berawa beach.
We have several share pool ZIN Berawa
Pool Towels are placed in your rooms. Please return them to your room, after you have used them.
Supervision & Liability
Please be aware ZIN Berawa Villas & Bungalows does not provide supervision and use is at your own risk. Please use the pools responsibly, and consider the wellbeing of your neighbors. Please always supervise your children. ZIN will not be liable for injury or loss and damage due to any incidents arising in connection with use by any persons in the ZIN pool area.
Children below the age of 12 must be accompanied by their parents at all times. Parents should ensure that their children do not go near the pool unless accompanied by a responsible adult. Non-swimmers and learners must be supervised by a responsible adult.
SERVICES
You can book with us your personal airport transfer to and from the hotel. Bali’s Airport Ngurah Rai DPS is between 1 to 2 hours away by car depending on the time of day and resultant traffic congestion. Please chat to stayZIN Officer and let us know your departure time so that we may advise the best time to depart from Berawa. In general we do suggest to leave the hotel 3.5 hours before your expected departure time – just to be safe.
If you wish to take some special free time for yourself and in need of a babysitting service please give us one day’s advance notice. Our team will be able to organize it for you through reputable companies nearby.
Environmental and social responsibility is a key ZIN tenet. As part of our efforts to simplify and reduce energy and paper waste, much of our communication with you will be digital.
Upon check in you will be provided with a phone number (Whatsapp) of our stayZIN Officer team (+1 980 400 6676). For anything you may need please do not hesitate to contact us. We will also use this Whatsapp channel to communicate with you directly.
If needed there is the 24 hour Berawa Medical Service for any type of emergency. Let our staff know and we will organise for them to make a room visit or take you to the clinic. After examination and first level treatment, the nurses and doctors will advise you what to do next. If you are facing something serious, it’s advisable to go immediately to one of the hospitals. Note: Please be aware that in Indonesia medical costs have to be settled immediately. If you have a travel or health insurance, you can usually claim back these costs. Please remember to keep all the necessary documents from the doctor or clinic.
The Siloam Hospital Group runs several well-managed hospitals, with dentists, general practitioners, surgeons, and specialists.
There are several ways to get around while being in Berawa depending on your itinerary and plans.
Driving on your own
If you are comfortable to drive a scooter, this is by far the best way to get around in Berawa and gives you maximum freedom and independence. If you wish to follow suit please take care, always wear a helmet and don’t drink and ride. (article on driving in Bali) .

For any rentals (cars, scooters), ZIN simply refers the booking to the rental company and does not take any commission nor is liable for the contract made between the rental company and our guests.
Tours (half and full day)
The simplest way to explore the treasures of Bali is to rent a car and driver and set out safely on your adventure. You can book any of our preset tours which we have carefully designed. You can also simply book your car with driver and choose your own tour itinerary to match your interests.

Transportation Services
By Scooter
Gojek – Goride
A service for motorbike taxis such as Uber for cars. This Indonesian app service runs on IOS and Android and provides an easy, quick, and very cheap way of getting around here in Berawa. But because transportation in some areas is still tightly managed by the local communities, this service is not available in all streets. Simply use the app and put in your pick up location and destination. You will see if the service is provided in either of those areas the moment you get a confirmed driver.
By Car
As part of the GOJEK app, you can also hire cars. It’s called go-car and works like Uber or other similar services you might be used to from home. Similar area restrictions like metioned for the scooter service do apply.
Local Drop-off services.
Our stayZIN team can organise a drop-off service handled by the local transportation community. Please refer to the price list.
Taxis
Taxis are cruising the main roads of Berawa and practically all major touristic areas in Bali, and can be stopped by waving. The most reliable Taxi Service in Bali and Indonesia is BLUE BIRD. The drivers use the meter and are trained and reliable. Other taxi services and some local providers refuse to switch on the meter and ask for fixed prices. You should try to avoid those services and get BLUE BIRD cabs only.
Airport Services
For your convenience, ZIN provides airport pick-up and drop off services. You can book directly online or contact our stayZIN team.
EAT & DRINK
Breakfast is served at ZIN Berawa. If you have booked your stay including breakfast please inform your room number to our stayZIN Officer. Please let our stayZIN team know what would you like to have one day before.
If you have booked the room including breakfast, per guest sharing the room you can select:
- one choice of à la carte breakfast menu
- one choice of juice
- one choice of coffee
If you wish to add something to your breakfast, it can be charged to your room.

SPA & FITNESS
Relax your body and mind in our SPA. Our massages have the healing power to relax the tension and improve circulation.
Our spa at ZIN Canggu offers full treatments. However, you can enjoy selected massages at ZIN Berawa with a booking one day prior.

GOOD TO KNOW
ATM
ATM machines are marked either Rp 50,000 or Rp. 100,000, which indicates the largest bill denomination the machine will issue. If you wish to withdraw large amounts of cash per transaction, it is better to use the machines with the larger bills, which allow you to withdraw between Rp 2,500,000 and Rp 3,000,000 each transaction instead of Rp 1,250,000 or Rp 1,500,000.
As is the case in most countries, ATM machine scams do happen so please be vigilant in protecting your PIN number and don’t forget your card before you leave.
Currency Exchange
There are several professional money changers at Pantai Berawa Street. You recognize them easily, because these are proper offices, with AC and digital exchange rate boards. They don’t charge commission and are reliable. We suggest NOT to change your money at the little shacks that line the streets of Bali. These guys can have some shady tricks up their sleeves.

Extending
Check out times up to 18:00 will be charged at 40% of the normal room rate.
Check out times past 18:00 will incur a 100% full room night rate.
